Job Title: Sales Manager

Overview: As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve targets and drive revenue growth in the iron and steel sector. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and expanding market share. You will also collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence in the iron industry.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to drive performance excellence, foster a culture of collaboration, and achieve individual and team goals.
  3. Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitive insights, informing strategic decision-making and sales strategies.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  5. New Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for new business development, including expanding into new geographic regions, industries, or customer segments.
  6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights, recommendations, and forecasts to support decision-making.
  7. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company’s iron products, features, and benefits, effectively communicating value propositions to customers and resolving product-related inquiries or issues.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments such as production, logistics, and finance to ensure efficient order processing, inventory management, and timely delivery of products to customers.
  9. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales activities, maintaining the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in sales management roles, preferably within the iron and steel industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and colleagues.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of iron and steel products, industry trends, and market dynamics is highly desirable.

Working Conditions:

  • This role typically operates in an office environment but may require frequent travel to meet with customers, attend industry events, or visit production facilities.
  • Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate customer needs or sales-related activities outside of regular business hours.
